Store Find #9: Snakes & Suits

Oh my gosh! I haven't posted anything in a freaking long time. Oh well... I've been pretty lazy. So here's a store I found-- Snakes & Suits. They're a record label/clothing store, which is pretty cool, I think. It's like a one-stop-shop for ummmm clothes and music... Hmmm... One thing I really like about this store is that they use a lot of ampersands. I really love saying that word. It's one of those words that if you say it over and over again, it totally loses its meaning. I wish I wasn't so broke so I could buy some of their cool stuff. ANYWAY, if I had more than a couple bucks in my checking account, these are the items I would get:

Ampersand Tote: $14.99

Ampersand V-neck: $19.99

Ampersand Necklace $19.99

Store Find #8: Indigo Wild

As you may or may not know, I love soap! Seriously, I think I might have a problem... Oh well, at least my obsession is clean.

I've recently come across this natural soap store called Indigo Wild. They make everything by hand in their Kansas City factory. And by everything, I don't just mean soap-- Indigo Wild makes everything from laundry soap to facial scrubs to soy candles and doggie soap! Seriously, this is a one-stop-shop for everything that smells amazing! Their many scents include: Sandalwood-Citrus, Grapefruit, Frankincense & Myrrh, Oatmeal-Lavender, Ylang ylang, and many more.

Here are some examples of the items in my shopping cart. <3

Frankincense & Myrrh bath salts: $9.50

Sweet Orange laundry soap: $21.00

Citrus-Mint goats milk soap: $5.50

Store Find #6: ec star

Jennifer Johnson, who was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California, has been designing clothing for nearly twenty years now. e.c. star began as a trendy punk boutique, but by adding her own vintage tastes, Johnson has created something very unique. I especially love all the details she adds to her designs. Her store seems to have a 1960’s mod influence, along with touches from the 1980’s punk scene. Her prices are a little high for me… so I’m going to check out the sale section. :)

Here are some of my favorites:

Trudy corduroy trouser: $50.00

Ms. Cutie top: $20.00 (on sale)

Jersey mini dress: $30.00 (on sale)

Store Find #5: Fred Flare

Fred Flare, a store which was founded in 1998 by Keith Carollo and Chris Bick, has so much positive energy. I wish I could just jump into their online store and soak up all the happiness. Bright Colors, smiles, cupcakes, hearts, ice cream and rainbows are what you will find here, so if you're into emo or scene or whatever, just stay away. Leave all of us dreamers alone! The name for this online store was actually inspired from Hollywood's legendary Fred Astaire, which isn't too hard to see. The founders even recorded a song recently which you can hear on their website. It's called "Sparkle Pop," which is adorable. Check it out!

Here are some of my favorite Valentines Day items!

Hemline stationary set: $9.95

Heart ear buds: $15

Hard Candy heart sunnies: $11

Store Find #4: Archie McPhee

Archie McPhee is a very amusing store. It's based out of Seattle and they sell novelty (very strange) gifts and toys. I think I'm going to buy some birthday gifts for my little brothers and sisters from here because everything is so funny and unique. Archie McPhee sells everything from vintage lunchboxes and unicorn bandaids, to inflatable fruitcake and corn dog air fresheners... Random? Maybe.

Here are a few things from the store:

Meatball Bubble Gum: 2 boxes/$7.95

Bible Bingo: $4.95

Commie mustache & beard set: $5.95

Store Find #3: Liquid Sky Arts

Liquid Sky Arts sells unique stationary sets, art prints and one-of-a-kind jewelry. It's based out of Oregon and I just LOVE all the designs. The artist, Kathleen, also writes a frequently updated blog which you can access on the store's website. It seems like her pieces have a lot of Asian influences and consist of very feminine floral and pastel designs.

I can't wait to purchase something from this store. I think I'm going to buy some note cards (I can't resist buying more stationary...).

Here are some images from her site---

"SoHo NY Parasols" art print: $23.00

"Loveletters" necklace

Note card sets: $12 each

All of her products come in super-cute gift wrapping, free of charge!
